Saba University School of Medicine Hyperbaric Club

One of the main goals of the Hyperbaric Club is to create a platform for the exchange of research ideas. Students are encouraged to assist one another in the practical aspect of the Hyperbaric Program by providing suggestions and serving as participants of the experiments. Current Research in the Hyperbaric Masters Program has included: the effects of hyperbaric oxygen on blood coagulation factors, reactive oxygen species and the effects of antioxidant therapy, and lactic acid clearance rates following intense exercise.  New studies are developed every semester as Hyperbaric III is devoted entirely to research in Hyperbaric Medicine.

Matt Skinner, a Hyperbaric M.Sc student, is in the process of organizing the Hyperbaric Club and providing pamphlets for incoming students as well as creating a better understanding of the application of Hyperbaric Medicine in today's world. His efforts are focused on facilitating the Research process.

If you have an idea that you feel is plausible for research, you may see the professors during their office hours
